A layered mixed media piece exploring themes of identity, emotion and hidden expression. Combining hand painted elements with graphic mark making, the work centres around a skull motif disrupted by bold symbols, drips and fragmented imagery. The use of contrasting colours soft neutrals against sharp reds, blacks and pinks creates tension between vulnerability and defiance. Inspired by urban environments and street art, the piece reflects the idea of internal thoughts and emotions being masked, distorted or left unspoken, while still finding a way to surface through visual language.
