About this project
This project explores the visual identity of music through experimental album cover design.
Working with an existing artist, i reimagined their aesthetic by creating covers that blend digital manipulation , typography and layered textures. Each design aims to capture a distinct mood, translating sound, personality and emotion into a visual format.
The work moves between bold, graphic compositions and more expressive, collage-like outcomes, reflecting the diversity within music culture and branding.

inspiration & process
This piece is inspired by contemporary music visuals, particularly how artist construct strong identities through cover art. I was interested in how typography, colour and imagery can instantly communicate genre tone and attitude.
I began by experimenting with imagery of the artist, layering textures and graphic elements to build depth and energy. Type played a key role, often becoming part of the composition rather than sitting separately.
Each outcome was developed through trial and variation, adjusting colour pallets, distortion and layout to create covers that feel dynamic and visually engaging, while still connected as a series.
